Analysis of the Use of the Internet of Things (IoT) to Enhance Daily Life Efficiency: A Literature Review

The rapid advancement of digital technology has accelerated the adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT) across various aspects of daily life. IoT enables physical devices to communicate and exchange data through internet connectivity, allowing processes to become more automated, efficient, and responsive. This study aims to analyze the utilization of IoT in improving efficiency in daily life through a literature review approach. The research method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which examines and synthesizes findings from previous studies related to IoT applications in different sectors, including smart homes, healthcare, transportation, agriculture, and environmental monitoring. The analysis indicates that IoT significantly contributes to improving operational efficiency, reducing energy, enhancing decision-making processes, and increasing user convenience. Despite these benefits, several challenges remain, including data security, privacy concerns, interoperability among devices, implementation costs, and dependence on stable internet infrastructure. The findings of this study demonstrate that IoT has become one of the key technologies supporting digital transformation and improving quality of life. Future developments are expected to focus on strengthening security, expanding interoperability standards, and integrating artificial intelligence to maximize the effectiveness of IoT applications in everyday activities.
