Aims and Scope – International Journal of Graphic Design (IJGD)

The International Journal of Graphic Design (IJGD) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing scholarly research and professional practice in the field of visual communication design. Published twice a year (May and November) by the National Research and Innovation Center, Institute for Research and Community Service, University of Science and Computer Technology (STEKOM University) Semarang, IJGD serves as a platform for interdisciplinary discourse among designers, artists, researchers, educators, and industry professionals.

Aims

IJGD aims to:

  1. Foster innovation and critical discourse in graphic design, visual communication, and emerging creative technologies.
  2. Bridge academia and industry by publishing research that explores the intersection of design theory, digital media, and professional practice.
  3. Advance knowledge in design methodology by promoting original research, case studies, experimental studies, and critical analysis in contemporary design practice.
  4. Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration by integrating insights from design, media studies, artificial intelligence, digital humanities, cultural studies, and visual arts.
  5. Support sustainable and ethical design practices, including human-centered design, accessibility, and eco-friendly innovations in the creative industry.

 Submission Guidelines
