This April 2026 issue of the International Journal of Graphic Design (IJGD) (E-ISSN: 2987-9434; P-ISSN: 2988-0343) presents a curated selection of studies reflecting current developments in visual communication design, with particular attention to the integration of emerging technologies and evolving design practices. The contributions span a range of topics aligned with the journal’s scope, including AI-driven design, generative approaches, interactive visual communication, design pedagogy, and sustainability-oriented practices.

The articles examine both theoretical and applied dimensions of contemporary design. Several contributions address the role of artificial intelligence in shaping design processes, from generative motion design and adaptive typeface development to AI-assisted ideation and branding. Others explore interaction design, user engagement, and mixed-reality environments, alongside perspectives on design education, cognitive approaches, and reflective learning. The issue also includes works that extend design inquiry into broader contexts, such as humanitarian information systems and environmentally conscious visual identity.

The authors featured in this issue represent a diverse international background, including Georgia, California, Moscow, Chile, Indonesia, Brazil, Norway, Germany, and Italy. This diversity reflects IJGD’s commitment to fostering cross-cultural perspectives and interdisciplinary dialogue within the global design community.

Through this issue, IJGD continues to position itself as an open-access platform that supports the dissemination of rigorous research and professional practice in graphic design, bridging academic inquiry with industry relevance in an increasingly technology-driven design landscape.
