  4. Supporting article publication, DOI registration, and indexing services.

KOMPAK does not sell users' personal information or use it for unrelated third-party marketing activities.

As a journal focusing on accounting, accounting information systems, and financial management, KOMPAK recognizes the importance of protecting confidential financial information and organizational research data.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that financial statements, accounting records, organizational documents, and research datasets are obtained and used with appropriate authorization.

Confidential business information, identifiable personal financial records, and sensitive organizational data must not be disclosed in manuscripts or supplementary materials without an appropriate legal basis or authorization.

Where research verification is necessary, the editorial team may request supporting documentation while respecting confidentiality obligations, data protection requirements, and intellectual property rights.

4. Confidentiality and Information Disclosure

Unpublished manuscripts, confidential reviewer identities, editorial correspondence, and private user information must be protected from unauthorized disclosure.

Access to confidential materials is restricted to individuals with legitimate editorial or administrative responsibilities.

Following publication, author names, institutional affiliations, article metadata, and designated correspondence details may be made publicly available for scholarly communication, citation, and indexing.

Relevant information may also be processed by authorized publishing service providers, including DOI registration agencies, indexing services, similarity-checking services, and technical infrastructure providers, subject to appropriate safeguards and lawful processing requirements.

Other disclosures are permitted only when supported by a legitimate publishing purpose, appropriate authorization, or applicable legal obligations.

5. Data Security and Retention

KOMPAK is committed to applying appropriate administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, misuse, loss, or disclosure.

Personal data are retained for as long as necessary to support editorial activities, preserve scholarly publication records, and fulfill applicable legal obligations.

Information no longer required for legitimate purposes will be reviewed for deletion, anonymization, or restriction of processing in accordance with applicable requirements.
