Authorship Criteria

1. General Authorship Policy

KOMPAK: Jurnal Ilmiah Komputerisasi Akuntansi follows the authorship principles established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authorship must reflect substantial intellectual contributions to the research, and all listed authors must accept responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the published work.

2. Criteria for Authorship

To qualify as an author, an individual must meet four criteria: (1) make substantial contributions to the research conception, design, data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation; (2) participate in drafting or critically revising the manuscript; (3) approve the final version for publication; and (4) accept accountability for the integrity of the work. Contributors who do not meet all four criteria should be acknowledged rather than listed as authors.

3. Author Contributions

All authors must clearly identify their individual contributions to the research and manuscript preparation. The journal encourages the use of the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT), including conceptualization, methodology, investigation, data analysis, software, validation, writing, supervision, and project administration. Contribution statements must accurately reflect each author's involvement.

4. Author Order and Corresponding Author

The order of authors must be agreed upon by all contributors before submission. The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the editorial office, coordinating manuscript revisions, and ensuring that all co-authors have approved the manuscript and agreed to its submission and publication.

5. Changes in Authorship

Any addition, removal, or rearrangement of authors after submission requires a written explanation and consent from all affected authors. Such changes must be approved by the editorial team. Authorship modifications after manuscript acceptance are generally discouraged and will only be considered under justified circumstances.

6. Unacceptable Authorship Practices

KOMPAK prohibits honorary, gift, guest, ghost, and coercive authorship. Individuals who have not made qualifying intellectual contributions must not be listed as authors, while eligible contributors must not be excluded. Financial support, administrative assistance, or general supervision alone does not justify authorship.

7. Artificial Intelligence and Authorship

Artificial intelligence tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot fulfill authorship responsibilities. Authors must disclose substantive AI assistance in accordance with the journal's AI Usage Policy and remain fully accountable for all AI-assisted content included in their manuscripts.

8. Authorship Disputes

Authorship disputes should initially be resolved among the contributors or through their respective institutions. The editorial team may request contribution statements, written confirmations, or supporting documentation and may suspend manuscript processing until the dispute is appropriately resolved.

9. Author Declaration

By submitting a manuscript to KOMPAK, all authors confirm that they meet the journal's authorship criteria, have approved the final manuscript, and accept responsibility for its scientific integrity. The journal reserves the right to investigate suspected authorship misconduct in accordance with established publication ethics guidelines.
