Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
KOMPAK: Jurnal Ilmiah Komputerisasi Akuntansi is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics, research integrity, and transparency in scholarly publishing. This statement follows internationally recognized best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies to all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.
The journal takes all allegations of misconduct seriously and will take appropriate actions to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
Duties of Authors
Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts meet the standards of academic integrity and responsible research conduct.
Authors are required to:

Submit original work that has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal.

Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and duplicate publication.

If authors discover a significant error in their published work, they must promptly inform the editorial office so that a correction or retraction can be issued.
Authorship and Contributorship
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the research, including:

Drafting or critically revising the manuscript
All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript prior to submission.
Individuals who contributed to the research but do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged in the Acknowledgements section.
Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for ensuring the integrity, fairness, and quality of the editorial process.
Editors must:

Evaluate manuscripts objectively and fairly, without discrimination based on gender, nationality, institutional affiliation, or personal beliefs.

Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers contribute to maintaining the scientific quality of the journal through objective and constructive peer review.
Reviewers should:

When ethical concerns are identified, the editorial team will conduct an investigation following COPE guidelines.
Possible actions include:

Corrections, Retractions, and Editorial Expressions of Concern
If errors or ethical issues are discovered after publication, the journal may issue:

Corrections (Erratum or Corrigendum) for minor errors that do not affect the scientific integrity of the article.

Retractions for serious errors or research misconduct.

Editorial Expressions of Concern when a potential issue is under investigation.
All corrections and retractions will be clearly identified and linked to the original article to maintain transparency in the scholarly record.
Complaints and Appeals
Authors who disagree with editorial decisions may submit a formal appeal within 14 days of the decision notification.
Appeals must include a clear explanation and supporting evidence. The appeal will be reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief, and when necessary, by an independent senior editor.
The final decision of the journal is conclusive.
Research Integrity and Data Transparency
Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and transparency of the research data presented in their manuscripts.
Where possible, authors are encouraged to provide access to:
