Post-Publication Policy
1. General Policy
KOMPAK: Jurnal Ilmiah Komputerisasi Akuntansi is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the scholarly record after publication. The journal follows the ethical principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in addressing post-publication concerns, corrections, retractions, and other necessary editorial actions.
2. Post-Publication Corrections
The journal may issue corrections when errors are identified in published articles that do not fundamentally affect the validity of the research findings or conclusions. Corrections may involve inaccuracies in data presentation, author information, figures, tables, or other relevant content. All corrections will be clearly documented and linked to the original publication.
3. Retraction Policy
Articles may be retracted when substantial evidence indicates unreliable findings, data fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, serious methodological errors, or other significant ethical violations. Retraction decisions will follow COPE guidelines, and published retraction notices will clearly explain the reasons for the action while maintaining the transparency of the scholarly record.
4. Expression of Concern
The editorial team may publish an Expression of Concern when credible questions arise regarding the integrity or reliability of a published article but the available evidence is insufficient to determine whether a correction or retraction is necessary. Such notices will remain linked to the original article until the concerns have been appropriately resolved.
5. Post-Publication Complaints and Investigations
Authors, readers, reviewers, and other stakeholders may report concerns about published articles through the journal's official communication channels. The editorial team will evaluate complaints objectively, request supporting evidence when necessary, and provide the involved authors with an opportunity to respond before determining appropriate editorial action.
6. Author Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for promptly notifying the editorial office when significant errors, inaccuracies, or ethical concerns are discovered in their published work. Authors must cooperate with post-publication investigations and provide relevant explanations, research data, or supporting documentation when reasonably requested.
7. Article Removal
Published articles will generally remain accessible to preserve the scholarly record, including articles that have been retracted. Complete removal will only be considered under exceptional circumstances, such as legal requirements, serious privacy violations, or risks to personal safety. When appropriate, a withdrawal or removal notice will be retained to explain the action.
8. Transparency and Editorial Accountability
All post-publication editorial actions will be conducted fairly, transparently, and independently. Corrections, retractions, and Expressions of Concern will be clearly identified, publicly accessible, and linked to the relevant articles. The journal is committed to preserving the credibility of published research and maintaining public trust in scholarly communication.
